I did not take into account how the weather changes of October would mess with crafting progress. Years ago, I picked up a book, Zombie Felties, and a bunch of supplies...and never got started. I know I said I was going to draft a pattern for the bag I want, my feet just couldn't manage it. I started a pair of mittens for my daughter this afternoon. After walking to school in 35* and some strong winds this morning, I think it's time for them. Hopefully I can make them the right size!

Today I crocheted another itty-bitty bat, this time in purple. I know, I know, the picture shows a blue bat, but trust me, it's purple. I put the black bat I made yesterday next to it so that you could see (sorta) that its eyes are gold. I suppose it would have been more appropriate to have crocheted a raven today, but a little bat will have to do. ;) It is larger than the directions said, but I didn't really have a tight tension like I should for amigurumi. ::shrug:: It's the first one I've made, so I suppose it's to be expected. So. I didn't do anything yesterday as far as crafting goes. Let's just say Friday was the culmination of a sucky week. Next week will be better. The most I did was look through a book of knitted toys with instructions that I bought at Hobby Lobby, and look through "Enchanted Knits" specialty magazine by Interweave Press. So...I made a kumihimo keyfob tonight. It took me an hour or less to braid. It took me at least as long to decide on material and to measure the ribbon as it did to braid it. The orange-multi ribbon is wider than the dark blue ribbon, which caused a change in the texture. I also only used two sections of the orange-multi with six of the blue. In ( Read more... )

I finished the crocodile/alligator/scale stitch scarf. As you can see, it's only about 20"-21" long. Not sure what I'm going to do with it. I could make it into a cowl. It's a bit too long for a headband, though I could try it, just to make sure.
